ECO, "Enterprise Core Objects", is an application framework that allows you to take applications from design to implementation in a much shorter time. ECO enables you to easily implement your applications as business classes rather than traditional data access. Instead of accessing the database directly your application will interact with the business classes you have designed using the UML. This approach ensures uniformed behavior throughout your application, and even across multiple applications if you choose to reuse your UML packages in more than one application; for example if you choose to implement both an ASP .NET and WinForm version of your application. 3 months of Software Assurance is included.

ECO for Visual Studio - 12 month Software Assurance
Software assurance for ECO includes email support, and a free upgrade to any new version of the product released. 3 months of software assurance are included in the price of the product, so if 12 months of SA are purchased in conjunction with the product, the SA period will be 15 months from the date or purchase. Software Assurance must be continuous, but may be purchased retroactively. So if 12 months of SA are purchased 5 months after the product itself, it will be valid for 10 months from the purchase.
